2010 proved a momentous year in Arizona, and the people behind the events were no less enthralling. The fall elections were memorable for not only who won and lost but also who risked a loss. Entrepreneurs found success in both creating what's new and redefining what's old.
People at church, at school, in the neighborhood strove to make a difference in how people live. And people on the court, on the field and on the stage did their best so people could play. New leadership here. A scientific discovery there. Something just plain cool over there. A number of Arizonans this year have shown just why they are so intriguing.
The Arizona Costume Institute (ACI) was founded in 1966 to support Phoenix Art Museum's Fashion Design Department in the acquisition and preservation of garments and accessories of historical and aesthetic significance. It also promotes appreciation of fashion design through programs and support of the Museum's exhibitions.
