On behalf of Arizona Costume Institute Nouveau Division I would like to invite you to our annual fundraising party at Phoenix Art Museum on Saturday, September 11th. This year we have the honor of showing a new documentary about Halston, which has only been screened in New York and LA.
No one represented the 70’s quite like legendary designer Halston and, in this new documentary, “Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston” filmmaker Whitney Smith takes us on a fabulous fun-and-fact filled journey through that man’s life and times. Join us for a Studio 54 themed party, where guests are encouraged to dress in their best retro garb to recreate the 70’s scene. The party starts at 6pm with light hors d’ouvres and a cash-only bar. The screening will start promptly at 7:30pm. Exclusively for this event, original Halston works from the Museum’s permanent fashion design collection will be on view. Proceeds from this event benefit Phoenix Art Museum’s Arizona Costume Institute, which supports the fashion design collection acquisitions and programming. -Celine Hacche
